Background

Channel 4 Video was a home video arm of Channel 4 that released the channel's programmes on home media, and also select third-party programmes as well. Initially, Channel 4 Video self-distributed their releases, but beginning in 1998, VCI took over. In June 2005, ChanneL 4 Video ended their partnership with VCI because they felt uncomfortable with the BBC's ownership in 2 Entertain.
