Background

EMI Music Video was EMI's short-lived music video imprint.

Logo (1981-1983)

Visuals: A red TV tube shape within a red border of the same traits zooms out of a white background. The letters for "EMI" zoom onto the shape in individual order, as "MUSIC" pops up beneath. Two black horizontal bars wipe in with a gap in the middle, in which "Video" pops in between.

Variant: On Thomas Dolby - Live Wireless, the logo is still and is enclosed on a red square border, with "Video" in a bigger size.

Technique: Computer animation.

Audio: None.

Availability: Shown on music videos from the time, such as Queen's Greatest Flix.
