Background

Fremantle Home Entertainment (Also known asFremantleMedia Home Entertainment) is the home video subsidiary of Fremantle, formerly known as Pearson Television Video. It was rebranded as such in 2002, normally releasing content through Prism Leisure Corporation, before branching off on their own after buying out Prism from it's administrators in 2007.

1st Logo (2002-2018)

Visuals: Same as the 2002 FremantleMedia logo.

Variants:

  • Most DVD releases feature the widescreen version of the SD logo, but squeezed to 4:3.
  • On some UK DVD releases that came out between 2007 and 2008, the URL "www.fremantlehomeentertainment.com" appears below the logo.
  • Beginning in 2008, the "Enterprises" variant is used.
  • Blu-Ray and later DVD releases use the HD variant of the logo.
  • On WWE DVDs and Blu-Rays, the shortened variant is used.

Technique: CGI.

Audio: Same as the 2002 FremantleMedia logo.

Availability: Appears on most FremantleMedia DVD releases from the time in the United Kingdom, including Sabrina, The Animated Series and cartoons from Nelvana. Also appears on WWE releases in the United Kingdom and Germany beginning in 2013.

2nd Logo (2002-2003)


Visuals: Same as the early variant of the standard FremantleMedia logo, but the text next to the globe is raised a bit to fit in the words "HOME ENTERTAINMENT", in a spaced-out thin font.

Variant: On DVD releases, the FremantleMedia text remains in it's normal position, while a slightly thinner and smaller "HOME ENTERTAINMENT" appears below.

Technique: A still graphic with fading transitions.

Audio: None.

Availability:

  • So far, only known to appear on the 2002 UK DVD release of The Plank and It's Your Move and the 2003 VHS release of The Tomorrow People: The Doomsday Men - The Complete Story, from Revelation Films.
