Background

Gold Video is a home video distributor and it was a sublabel of Lucian Films Video that was in operation between 1992 and 1994. The company primarily released martial arts videos. The company eventually folded into Live Video.

Logo (1992-1994)

Visuals: On a space background, lines shoot by. An upside down triangle flips in from the background, and we see the Gold Video logo (the outlined word "GOLD" in a sports-type font with "VIDEO" in an outlined sans-serif font in a golden gradient color) wiping in. A streak then passes by the triangle and colored lines appear above the triangle. Then it reverses, and it wipes away. Another logo, which consists of the triangle with the Gold Video logo, albeit upwards, wipes in with the same colored lines below the triangle and we see a multicolored rectangle above wipes in. Then it dissolves and we see the Gold Video logo zoom up from the bottom. Then the Gold Video logo zooms out, and then a streak reveals a metallic-golden colored rectangle with either "PRESENTA" or "ANTICIPA" in a serif font. The page effect then flips the logo away.

Technique: 2D effects.

Audio: The theme from the 1978 Battlestar Galactica show.

Availability: Seen on Gold Video releases in Argentina. [Examples?]
