Background

Hallo Kino was the successor of Scope, ran in Austrian cinemas from 1985 to 1994. It functioned as a kind of magazine that publicized new films in the form of a cinema trailer, while a star guest from the film or music world was interviewed at the same time. It was initially produced weekly, then fortnightly and finally, towards the end of production in 1994, only a new issue was produced every month.

Visuals:

  • 1985-1988?: On a black background is "hallo Kino" handwritten from a marker with a hot pink streak underneath it. It is shown sliding from the left to the right while shifting slightly forth. The closing has the elements colored yellow, this time it shifts slightly back.
  • 1990: On a blue background, the "hallo Kino" text along the streak is shown in a slight close-up before zooming back and forth once.
  • 1994: On a black background, two duplicates of "hallo Kino", one hot pink and one green, slide from the right and left respectively.

Variant: At the beginning of various certain newsreels, it takes place on a blue background. "austria" is shown above, with "wochenschau" sliding underneath to the left.
