Background

The Marvel name has previously been associated with other animation production companies, namely Marvel Productions and Marvel Films Animation. However, on January 25, 2008, Marvel Entertainment established Marvel Animation to focus on Marvel's efforts in animation.

1st Logo (September 2, 2006-2013)


Visuals: Same as the 2008 Marvel Studios logo, but "ANIMATION" appears underneath.

Variant: Fantastic Four: World's Greatest Heroes used the standard Marvel logo instead.

Technique: Computer animation by Prologue Films and Imaginary Forces.

Audio: Same as the Marvel "Flipbook" logo.

Audio Variants:

  • At least one episode of Spider-Man: The Animated Series has the music for the 1996 Saban and 1997 Fox Kids Worldwide logos.
  • On Fantastic Four: World's Greatest Heroes, three electronic beeps with a swoosh sound are heard, which was taken from the show's theme music.

Availability: It is seen on animated shows and movies produced by Marvel. Also, plastered the previous logos on Netflix prints of older Marvel shows.

2nd Logo (March 20, 2024-)


Visuals: A shortened, modified version of the 2016 Marvel Studios logo, where there are no clips playing inside the letters, clips from some of Marvel's past animated properties are tinted red and playing in the background, turning into one resembling the What If...? and I Am Groot variants, the logo is in a different metallic texture, and "ANIMATION" replaces "STUDIOS".

Variant: On promotional material for X-Men '97, the logo is flat and colored black and gold.

Technique: CGI by PERCEPTION.

Audio: A shortened, rock-themed rearrangement of the 2016 Marvel Studios theme by Michael Giacchino composed by Trailer Park Group.
