Background

Scandal Video was a French home video distributor.

Logo (1990)

Visuals: On a black background, a set of 5 purple lines slides in from above and faces the top while stretching. Another set wipes in above, facing the bottom, and the background turns blue, revealing the sets being in a black rectangle. The white outlines then appear on the rectangles, and the orange text "SCANDAL VIDEO" fades in while flipping, facing the right portion afterwards while the rectangles are shown stretching around. An orange word "presente" soon flies in and settles in the lower-right corner, soon flipping to the opposite side and turning back to its regular position.

Technique: Computer animation.

Audio: A fast-paced repetitive piano tune accompanied by bongos.

Availability: Seen on a VHS release of Smooth as Silk.
