Background

Shock Entertainment is the home entertainment division of the Australian record label "Shock". They mainly released lesser-known content and back catalogue releases from Universal Pictures, Sony and Paramount Pictures.

1st Logo (2005?-2011?)

Visuals: On a background with white streaks, there is a pink oval with another, larger oval inside it as they spin towards the camera. The letters "SHOCK" appears one-by-one as they move inside the logo. As a line appears underneath the text, the ovals move to the centre of the screen. As the background fades out, the ovals shine.

Technique: CGI.

Audio: An upbeat synth tune.

Availability: Can be seen on the 1-2 DVD volumes of Neighbours: The Iconic Episodes released in 2007.

2nd Logo (2011?-present)

Visuals: On a space background, there is a multicoloured vortex, changing rapidly from blue, pink and orange as it turns into the Shock logo with "Entertainment" underneath. Blue streaks and ovals appear in the background before the logo fades out.

Technique: CGI.

Audio: A loud whoosh, followed by a chime over a synth pad.

Availability: Known to have appeared on the 2019 Australian DVD release of Paradise, Hawaiian Style.
