Background

Tyndale Entertainment was a home video/production division of the faith-based publishing company Tyndale, and the successor company to Tyndale Family Video.

Logo (1997-2004)

Visuals: On a space background with various purple and blue nebulas, the camera quickly rotates up to reveal a golden star rotating to the left, as well as 2 white sparks running along the edge. The camera starts to rotate to face the front of the star and, while the star zooms out, the stacked words "TYNDALE ENTERTAINMENT", as well as two yellow lines located at the top and bottom of the text respectively, follow suit right below the star. When the entire logo settles into position and the star stops shining and rotating, the background fades to light blue with a spotlight and the text to black, as the star tilts towards the left a bit to face the spotlight.

Variants:

  • A short version exists on later prints of the McGee and Me episode, "Do The Bright Thing", starting with the star rotating.
  • A still version on a black background exists. Here, the star is flatter and produces a white glowing shadow.
  • On a McGee and Me promo, the logo is animated differently: On a blue background with a spotlight in the center, the star zooms out and tilts to face the left a bit, as a black shadow folds down from the back of it. The Tyndale Entertainment text then appears below.

Technique: CGI.

Audio: A rising synthesized whoosh plays as the camera rotates up, followed by a series of oscillating clunk-like sounds that play throughout most of the logo. When the background changes color, a synth drone plays out with a faint cymbal noise to it. The short version has the ending theme of the show play.

Availability: Seen on a few Tyndale Entertainment titles during the late 90s, such as the VHS release of Superbook: Volume 1 and Angel Wings tapes.
