Background

Vela Entertainment is a Bangkok-based film production company.

Logo (January 18, 2024-)

Visuals: On a black background with white particles, a red lined shock wave emerges, releasing two different versions of it while lighting up a hex-patterned plastic surface. Another red ring, this time horizontally dashed, appears on the sides. Then, the center hexes pop out and explode, unveiling a bright red cloudy space sky and a triangular, high tech metallic spaceship soaring through the rings and sky at a very fast pace. Suddenly, the ship makes contact with a transparent, upside down red panel, bumping it into the screen and releasing white glass shards across. The ship then regains control, landing on a rounded black panel, the background changes to a more complex hex patterned surface, and the rings return to circle around the box. Red horizontal lasers also join by scanning and transforming the ship and box into a minimalist, glowing version of itself, with the ship and box in white and light coral respectively. The hexes have gained a red border and disappeared not long after the transformation occured. The logo slightly zooms out and places itself on the top center to make room for a large red light to scroll below, unveiling "VELA ENTERTAINMENT" in a stacked format. The background, being a smoky white light particle setting at this point, crossfades to black.

Technique: CGI.

Audio: Throughout the logo, there are science fiction-themed sound effects, such as electronic droning and stuttering, powering, blasting, zapping, and whooshing from the spaceship, as well as banging and glass breaking.

Availability: The logo is seen on Chinatown Chacha.
