Background

Videal was a German home entertainment company.

Logo (1982)

Visuals: On a light blue background, the outline of a rounded, outlined "V" with a curving left ear serif and bottom left depth alongside "VIDEAL" are traced in by dark blue lines, which are initially dotted before thickening and giving the logo its fill. Then, the background fades to black, followed by a tiled snake transition reverts the background colour to light blue. Afterwrard, the logo fades out and is replaced with "PRÄSENTIERT".

Technique: Analog computer animation.

Audio: A new age Moog synth fanfare, which begins with a deep arpeggio and is then followed by a chord and an ascending note track. Following this, a descending set of notes and another set, this time ascending, play to cap off the soundtrack.

Availability: The logo is seen on Spaß am Windsurfen.
