Logo (1980s)

Visuals: The sequence starts with a blue background, in which a green rectangle wipes in and takes up the bottom two thirds of the screen, followed by a pink rectangle wiping in and taking up the bottom third. Then, two white lines with a black border appear in the center, with the bottom line being longer than the top one, extending far towards the right where it touches the edge. As the lines appear, VIDEOSCOPE types itself in, letter by letter in between the two lines. Once the word is fully typed in, the bottom line is cut so that the right point ends just past the text.

Technique: 2D computer animation.

Audio: A portion of Magnetic Fields, Pt. 2 by Jean-Michel Jarre‎.

Availability: Spotted on a Greek videotape of Breakthrough (1979).
