Background

BET Films (formerly BET Pictures) is the motion picture arm of cable channel BET, owned by Paramount Global. Most of its movies are distributed by Paramount Pictures.

BET Pictures

1st Logo (April 6, 2001)

Logo: On a black background, we see the 2001 BET logo, and below is the word "PICTURES". The "E" in "PICTURES" is replaced with a clapperboard.

FX/SFX: None, unless you count the scrolling on the closing variant.

Music/Sounds: None for the opening variant. For the closing variant, the closing theme of the movie is played.

Availability: Rare. Only seen on Fire & Ice.

BET Films

1st Logo (November 2, 2018)

Logo: On a light blue gradient background, we see a blue line. The line separates into 2 lines that form the shape of a rectangle. While this happens, the 2010 BET logo slides in from the left of the rectangle, and "FILMS" slides in from the right of the rectangle.

Variant: On the trailer for Nobody's Fool, the animation is faster.

FX/SFX: The lines forming a rectangle shape and the BET logo sliding in.

Music/Sounds: None.

Availability: Only seen on the trailer for Nobody's Fool and later on the film itself.

Legacy: This is possibly a placeholder for the next logo.

2nd Logo (February 8, 2019-2021)

Logo: On a dark blue gradient background, we zoom out from multiple rectangular-shaped objects until we zoom out from the BET logo. A lens flare appears as "FILMS" blurs in.

Variant: A later version exists in which the rectangles don't have a gradient. This appeared on Body Cam, released on May 19, 2020.

FX/SFX: The zooming out of the rectangles and the lens flare.

Music/Sounds: None or the opening theme of the movie.

Availability: Common. Seen on every movie from the company starting with What Men Want.

Legacy: This logo's days are numbered since BET introduced a new logo on June 27, 2021.
