Background

D.S. Films was an Indian production company possibly founded in 1984. They have sold to Priya Video and Moser Baer in Summer 1994.

Logo (July 6, 1989-February 12, 1993)

Visuals: The logo starts off with a space background containing numerous animating stars. Suddenly, on the upper right portion of the screen, appears a star, which blinks and suddenly becomes a green "786". Afterwards, the number flashes down to the center of the screen where the green fades away and disappears briefly. Then, the numbers flash in a green light, revealing a yellow border. Finally, the white text "D.S. FILMS" appears from the lower part of the screen and is placed onto a position below the numbers, which are seen shining.

Trivia: According to Hinduism, the number "786" means “Trimurti” that represents Brahma, Vishnu and Maheshwara. Brahma the most superior among Trimurti related to number 7.

Technique: Traditional animation.

Audio: A loud sound which sounds like a thunder or an explosion when the star appears until the numbers appear on the center of the screen. Then, some notes of a xylophone and strums of a swarmandal, which ends with the shrill of a violin.

Availability: It was initially seen on Aaakhri Ghulam. The logo was also seen on Insaniyat Ke Devta and Aaj Ken Shahenshah.
