Background: Was founded by Irvin Shapiro (1906-1989) in 1932 as World Pictures. Sometime later, the company went with its current name, also known as Mr. Fat-W or Filmworld International. The company was purchased by Cinedgm in March of 2021. Shapiro stepped down from the company in 1985 due to declining health, and eventually passed away from Parkinson's Disease in 1989.
