Background
Happinet Pictures (formerly Beam Entertainment) was formed in 1993 to distribute home video products. Happinet Corporation took over in 1999 and renamed to its current name in 2002.
Beam Entertainment
1st Logo (1995-1998)
Visuals: On a black background, there is the big letter "B" sliding in, while the gold text "BEAM" sliding in at the same time. The pattern repeat with the letter "E", along with the word "ENTER'", and the pattern repeats again with the letter "S", along with the word ""SUPER"" and finally, the letter "T", along with the word "THEATER". The logo then zooms out, and the initials turn red as a white gradient box with a camera on it over a filmstrip fades in on a teal gradient background.
Technique: The letters sliding, the logo zooming out.
Audio: A droning theme, along with some chimes at the end.
Availability: Seen on early Beam Entertainment releases. [Examples?]
2nd Logo (1998-2002)
Visuals: On a moving space background, a light moves from the top right, followed by the moving letters of "BEAM ENTERTAINMENT" that slides and turns red and a light draws in to form the Beam insignia, which consists of a white box that fills in with the abstract letter "M, along with two horizontally shown letters "B" and "M", and the background turns black, while the light disappears
Technique: The letters moving, the drawing of the logo.
Audio: A whoosh sound, along with a chime when the text appears
Availability: Seen on later Beam Entertainment releases. [Examples?]
Happinet Pictures
1st Logo (2002-2019)
Visuals: In the night sky, we see clouds appearing. Parts of clouds disappear as the words "Happiness" and "networking" fade in and slide at the same time. Both words fade out and the word "Happinet" fades in. Then the light flashes, and then the logo turns into a morning sky and the word turns blue with two green streaks on the letter "H". The word "Happinet Corporation" fades below the logo.
Variants:
- Prior to 2006, the text reads "Happinet Pictures with the text "Happinet Corporation" ("Happinet Pictures Corporation" before 2004) fading in below the logo.
- A sped-up version exists.
Technique: The clouds moving, the words appearing, the change.
Audio: A piano theme that changes in tone, with chimes and a bell tone at the end.
Availability: Seen on most Happinet Pictures VHS, DVD and Blu-ray releases from the time. [Examples?]
2nd Logo (2019- )
Visuals: On a white background, there are two blue rectangles with a green horizontal line on the center, walks in from the left to the right, and both clap, just like a human can do. The rectangles then started to dance, and began connecting together and then sticks with a pink cloudy effect that moves, and form the "H" from the previous logo, and then the right rectangle with the green tail sticks to form the "appinet" letters from the previous logo.
Variant: A short version exists.
Technique: 2D animation.
Audio: Cartoon sound effects, followed by a chime, and then a harp synth theme, with chimes at the end.
Availability: Seen on recent Happinet DVDs and Blu-rays from the era. [Examples?]
