Background

P.T. Jiung Film was an Indonesian film production company of Indonesian actor and comedian Benyamin Sueb.

Logo (1974-1978)


Visuals: On a blac background, an extreme closeup of a demonic looking mask (ondel-ondel, a traditional puppet of the Betawi people) is seen. The camera slowly backs away to reveal that the mask is inside of a circle cut-out of a white octagon, which has a ring surrounding the cut-out with the arched words "P.T. JIUNG FILM" and "JAKARTA" inscribed on the top and the bottom of it respectively. "mempersembahkan:" in a script font is below. All of the text is in orange.

Variant: On Duyung Ajaib, the ondel-ondel is different.

Technique: Camera-controlled animation.

Audio: A short piece of traditional Betawi music.

Availability: Seen on Buaye Gile, Koboi Ngungsi, and Duyung Ajaib.
