Background

Kanchak Films was a Cambodian film production company.

Logo (1989-1990s)

Visuals: On a black background, blinking white stars are seen. The background fades to white as a spinning golden discus (sudarshana chakra, the weapon of the Hindu god Vishnu) slowly zooms in. "កងចក្រ" in gold and arched fades in above the discus. "ផលិតកម្" and "ភាពយន្ត" in a three-dimensional font wipe in from the center, flanking the discus. A white rectangle with "KANCHAK FILMS" inscribed wipes in below from left to right. The discus continues to spin and the stars continue blinking as the logo fades to a brown screen.

Technique: Practical effects and cel animation.

Audio: A dramatic horn fanfare with strings.

Availability: Seen on Snaeha Muoy and Sromol Sneah
