Background

Kang Pich Films (កងពេជ្រភាពយន្ត) was a Cambodian film production company founded in 1966 by Chea Nouk. Many of their films starred Kong Som Eun who was a major actor during the Golden Age of Cambodian cinema. The company shut down when the Khmer Rouge came into power, and Chea Nouk died under their reign. Today, only one film from this company survives, the 1971 release Panhchapor Devy (បញ្ចពណ៌ទេវី), which was also their most successful work and was also screened in neighboring Thailand.

Logo (1971)

Visuals: On a dark cloudy background, a six-spoke wheel fades in and spins. The wheel fades out and the following text in white appears:

Technique: Practical effects.

Audio: Unknown; current prints have modern music dubbed over the logo.

Availability: This logo is seen on Panhchapor Devy (បញ្ចពណ៌ទេវី). The print by Morodok Productions has the logo's first half cut out, however.
