Background

Libra Pictures was a film and television production subsidiary of Saban Entertainment, founded in early 1994, which produced theatrical and straight-to-video films, along with some television films.

1st (and only) Logo (1994-November 20, 2001)

Provided ID could not be validated.

Nickname: "Triangles"

Logo: A flash occurs and reveals a floating red and orange background, where the purple word "LIBRA" is seen at full width and slowly compresses. There are two tilted cones, purple and brown, which appear and turn vertical in opposite directions. Then the purple bar unfolds with the word "P I C T U R E S" on it, and the background gains a bit of purple color.

Variant: A still variant was used on some films.

FX/SFX: The logo forming.

Music/Sounds: A majestic synth soundtrack or none. On a French-Canadian VHS of Moment of Truth: Eye of the Stalker, the theme from the O'Hara-Horowitz Productions logo plays over it due to bad plastering.

Availability: Appears on some prints of the 1990 version of Phantom of the Opera (plastering the 1990 Saban/Scherick Productions logo), Hostile Force, Black Scorpion, Susie Q and other television films. It used to be seen on films from the Moment of Truth series last seen on Lifetime and LMN.
