Background

Los Angeles Animation Festival is the animation, family, and anime brand of FilmFestDistribution.

Logo (February 1-May 12, 2020)

Visuals: On a blue background with soft waving lights, "L.A.A.F", in a partly Gothic-inspired font and outer black glow, is on top of "LOS ANGELES ANIMATION FESTIVAL", also in said font. "PRESENTS" is on the bottom center and all text are in white.

Variant: There is an extended variant that starts with a CGI, lifelike cartoon man with a large oval head and distorted proportions slowly walking towards the screen against a blue background filled with giant bokeh lights. He greets the audience and introduces himself before laughing maniacally before the logo zooms out and the background shot crossfades to the one shown in the standard version.

Technique: 2D computer animation.

Audio: An ascending and echoing keyboard stinger.

Audio Variant: On the extended variant, the first half contains a digital percussions-driven soundtrack and the dialogue of the character.

Availability: The logo is seen on FilmFestDistribution's prints of The Best of L.A.A.F Volume 1 (which uses the extended variant),SHe, and Nosferatu Re-Animated.
