Background
MGM Children's Matinees were a series of vintage MGM family films that were re-released to theatres between 1970 and 1972. As the name implies, they were shown only as matinees, usually just before the showing of the main feature which happened to be playing at the theatre at that time.
Logo (1970-1971)
Visuals: On a light blue background is a rectangle with a blue border. On the left is a small yellow rectangle. On the rectangle, there is the MGM "Abstract Lion" logo. Aside the logo is:
CHiLDREN'S

- A later variant exists, where Leo the Lion replaces the "Abstract Lion". The lion roars once.
- Sometimes, the entire logo is moved up, to make way for a MPAA rating under it.
- The background can have different colors.
Technique: A printed graphic. The later variant uses live-action footage.
Audio: None. On the later variant, the first roar from the 1960 roar track.
