Background

Mansfield Dark Productions is a British film production company that produces horror films.

1st Logo (April 27, 2015)

Visuals: On a black background, the logo, entirely in yellow, is shown, consisting of a raven looking to the right while standing on a branch that is in between "MANSFIELD" and "DARK" in a jagged serif font with leaves growing out of some of the letters.

Technique: A still, digital graphic.

Audio: None.

Availability: The logo is seen on Drink Me.

2nd Logo (April 30, 2015)

Visuals: A black and white shot of a long brick arched hallway is shown with a glitched VHS filter. Later, a black figure slowly emerges from one of the archways and stands in the center of it from the distance. The screen quickly zooms toward the subject, cuts back a few seconds later, and has "MASNFIELD DARK", in a stacked format, white colour, and jagged printed font, over and below the figure. In the end, the background fades out followed by the text.

Technique: 2D computer animation.

Audio: The sound of ominous room noise, a telephone ringing a few times, heavy, nervous breathing, and a shrill squeaking sound at the end.

Availability: The logo is seen on The Mothman Curse.

3rd Logo (September 8, 2015)

Visuals: The screen travels out of a dark planet in a blue-tinted outer space setting, passing by other planets and asteroids before crossfading to a zoom-out of a nebula where "MANSFIELD DARK", in a white futuristic font, pans alongside the screen and tilts to a normal angle. Once it stops, two horizontal light streaks appear over and below the text.

Trivia: This comes from a template made by IMovie. It can be used in the app itself while making a trailer.

Technique: CGI.

Audio: The opening theme of the film.

4th Logo (October 31, 2022)

Visuals: On a black background, the non-serif white text "MANSFIELD DARK", with the latter word aligned to the former's "D", is shown.

Technique: A still, digital graphic.

Audio: None.

Availability: The logo is seen on The Mansfield Ghost.

5th Logo (June 15, 2023)

Visuals: On a black background and within a small box, black and white found footage of a dark grungy basement barely lit by a flashlight is shown. The footage continuously glitches, sometimes changing shots through said effects. Later, a dark monstrous figure is barely seen in the darkness, at that point, the footage cuts off. Before that happens, "MANSFIELD" and "DARK", in white non-serif fonts, glitch in over and below the footage. After the text is the only one on the screen, they glitch again and grow in size through a cutting effect while leaving no gaps in between vertically.

Technique: 2D computer animation.

Audio: The sound of static and dark humming room ambiance is heard throughout. Before the company name appears, a dramatic and loud horror stinger plays alongside a woman's screaming. Then, there are echoed clicking sounds.

Availability: The logo is seen on 13 Sherwood Avenue.

6th Logo (April 20, 2024)

Visuals: On a black background, a slideshow of various sketches and scans, comprised of the human anatomy as well as ritualistic and satanic imagery involving animals and dismembered body parts (e.g. a deer's severed head, a hand with needles stuck onto each bleeding finger, a snake wrapped around a cross). All of these images are shown unaligned vertically within the box and has footage of candle flames superimposed against them. The last slide features the pentagram made out of red lights. Alongside it, "MANSFIELD DARK", in a comic font and unaligned vertically, is seen below.

Technique: 2D computer animation.

Audio: The sound of a film projector rolling and deep piano banging for most of the cutting transitions. The film is heard running out at the end.
