The Mascot Pictures Corporation was a small movie production company established in 1927 by Nat Levine to produce film serials and B-westerns, merging after with Consolidated Film and Monogram Pictures to form "Republic Pictures" (later known as "Republic Entertainment, Inc.") in 1934.
Logo (January 15, 1927-April 12, 1935)
Visuals: On a cloudy background, there is a model of planet Earth, with a tiger on it. Under it, there are the words "MASCOT PICTURES" surrounding the globe. The tiger roars twice (a la Leo the Lion).
Technique: Mostly live action.
Audio: The tiger roaring.
Availability: It was seen on Mascot releases from its time. It was restored back in 1988 on the movie The Phantom Empire for TV as a syndication package.
