Background

Ponluu Neakpoan Kampuchea was the first private film production company in Cambodia, established in 1958 by Sun Bun Ly. It produced films during the 1960s and went defunct sometime in 1972. Sun Bun Ly's success inspired other filmmakers of that time, including Ly Bun Yim who later founded Runteas Pich Production.

Logo (1969)

Visuals: A shot of the Angkor Wat temple is seen. The camera slowly zooms out as a shield fades in. It consists of an image of the Angkor Wat temple, flanked by two dragons/serpents. On top of the shield is "ពន្លឺនាគពនកម្ពុជាភាពយន្ត" and over the image of the temple, arched downwards, is "PONLUU NEAKPOAN KAMPUCHEA".

Technique: Camera-controlled and cel animation.

Audio: Roneat music plays as the camera zooms out of the temple, followed by a triumphant fanfare when the shield fades in.
