Background

Pooja Entertaiment (originally Puja Films, also known as Puja Entertainment) is an Indian Hindi film production and distribution company founded by Vashu Bhagnani in 1986.

1st Logo (May 28, 1999)

Visuals: Over a night shot of a city skyline, an illuminated helicopter flies towards a 20th Century Fox-esque rotating structure consisting of a huge "P" with the words "PUJA" and "FILMS", the former at the top and the latter placed vertically in front of the line of the "P". A smaller "F" is shown next to the P. The helicopter then flies away as the structure zooms back and settles in left-facing perspective.

Technique: CGI animation.

Audio: A majestic orchestral fanfare along with the sounds of the helicopter.

Availability: The logo can be seen in Biwi No. 1.

2nd Logo (August 18, 2000-October 2, 2009)

Visuals: A wide rectangle with a huge hole rotates in as it is illuminated by very bright searchlights. The rectangle rotates into one side of it and thickens, and rotates to face its bottom area into the camera, while the white words "PUJA ENTERTAINMENT (INDIA) LTD." in three lines are revealed. The text moves a bit to the rectangle until it crashes. The whole logo zooms out and transparent copies of it are seen. These fade out and reveal the one true logo, with the searchlights moving.

Variant: On Out Of Control (2003), the logo is tinted red.

Technique: CGI animation.

Audio: An ominous synth with a dramatic 4-note brass theme. Whooshing, windchimes and crashes are also heard.

Availability: The logo can be seen in Tera Jadoo Chal Gayaa, Rehnaa Hai Terre Dil Mein, Mujhe Kucch Kehna Hai, Deeewaanapan, Om Jai Jagadish, and Jeena Sirf Merre Liye.
