Saj Pictures
Logo (May 19, 1984)
Visuals: There is a white light on the top of a dark background with two burning flames from a candle below it. A light illuminates the setting, revealing a model of the Virgin Mary holding infant Jesus standing on top of a pedestal, in the middle of two candles. In front of the Virgin, there is a dark blue rectangle containing the company name "SAJ PICTURES" in pink and in a shiny texture. The logo stays static for the last few seconds.
Technique: Practical effects.
Audio: An arpeggiating xylophone melody accompanied by a two-note organ tune.
Availability: It was only seen in NH 47.
Saj Productions
1st Logo (January 25-December 9, 1985)
Visuals: In a red room, there are five wax candles set on a golden candelabra. The camera rises to reveal the top half of another model of the Virgin Mary holding infant Jesus in her hands against a faint spotlight. After the footage stays stagnant for a few seconds, the logo abruptly cuts to another footage of a closeup of a model of St. Joseph this time cuddling infant Jesus on his shoulders with the camera zooming away from it shortly after it appears, showing him in a dimly-lit room with two wax candles on top of a rod on both of his sides, all on top of a clothed table. Finally, the logo cuts to one last footage where a spotlight illuminates a model comprising a sparkly golden "Saj" from left to right and another spotlight illuminates a light-blue pedestal containing a red "PRODUCTIONS". Here, a red square with rounded corners is seen behind the "S" and is displaying three white concentric circles, and the "j" on the right is seen pushing "PRODUCTIONS" to the left. The logo stays static for the last few seconds.
Technique: Live action and practical effects.
Audio: A depressing organ melody.
Availability: Seen in Muhoortham 11:30, Onningu Vannenkil, Vannu Kandu Keezhadakki, and Oru Kudakkeezhil.
2nd Logo (February 14, 1986)
Visuals: There is a blue room adorned with numerous lit oil lamps and candles varying in style and distance from the camera. The footage slowly crossfades to the same footage now with a black box containing a red "SAJ PRODUCTIONS". It remains like this for the last few seconds.
Technique: Live-action.
Audio: A relaxing sitar and piano melody.
Availability: Seen only in the Tamil-language film Nilave Malare.
3rd Logo (September 12, 1986)
Visuals: In a dark room, there is a dimly lit, more detailed model of the Virgin Mary standing in the middle of 5 lit-up wax candles on both sides and behind a shining light partially blocked out by a multicolored plant. Smoke can also be seen rising around the model, making the light more visible. The lights slowly illuminate the front side of the model, as "SAJ PRODUCTIONS" in white fades in front of her.
Technique: Practical effects and fading effects.
Audio: A different organ melody accompanied by a few bell tongs.
Availability: Seen only in Aavanaazhi.
