Background

Sujatha Cine Arts is an Indian Tamil-language film company founded by K. Balaji in 1966.

1st Logo (June 7, 1968-October 10, 1969)

Visuals: On a cloudy sky background, there is a silhouetted statue on its side before rotating 90 degrees a few seconds later. A spotlight illuminates the statue, revealing an undetailed model of a griffin holding a small shield with "SCA" engraved. The griffin stands on a pedestal that reads "SUJATHA CINE ARTS".

Audio: A loud and patriotic brass fanfare.

Availability: Seen on En Thambi and Thirudan.

2nd Logo (October 29, 1970-January 26, 1989)

Visuals: The concept is similar to the previous logo where the same silhouetted model is shown on its side before rotating 90 degrees against a color-changing background. A spotlight illuminates the statue once it stops rotating, revealing a more colorized and detailed version of the griffin model: the griffin is in a bronze texture, and the pedestal and shield are colored blue, with the shield having a gold-colored border and letters, as well as some gold-colored accents on the pedestal.

Technique: Practical effects.

Variant: A version with the Tamil text of the company's name on the wing intact.

Audio: A more bombastic and proud-sounding rendition of the previous logo's fanfare with the last three notes played twice, also with the last note being higher-pitched.

Availability: Seen on their releases from this period, such as Sattam.

3rd Logo (July 20, 2007)

Visuals: On a space background with a gold light and a gold searchlight is the silhouette of a statue from before now in a 3D model. 2 more searchlights cross, illuminating the statue (with a griffin and "SCA" in gold). "SUJATHA CINE ARTS" in gold and in a futuristic font, wipes in via light effect and shines. The searchlights continue to cross.

Technique: CGI.

Audio: A remastered version of the previous logo.

Availability: Only seen on Kireedam.
