BET Pictures

1st Logo (April 6, 2001)

Logo: On a black background, we see the 2001 BET logo, and below is the word "PICTURES". The "E" in "PICTURES" is replaced with a clapperboard.

Technique: None, unless we count the scrolling on the closing variant.

Music/Sounds: None for the opening variant. For the closing variant, the closing theme of the film is played.

Availability: Rare. Only seen on Fire & Ice.

BET Films

1st Logo (November 2, 2018)

Logo: On a light blue gradient background, we see a blue line. The line separates into two lines that form the shape of a rectangle. While this happens, the 2010 BET logo slides in from the left of the rectangle, and "FILMS" slides in from the right of the rectangle.

Variant: On the trailer for Nobody's Fool, the animation is faster.

Technique: The lines forming a rectangle shape and the BET logo sliding in.

Music/Sounds: None.

Availability: Only seen on the trailer for Nobody's Fool and later on the film itself.

Legacy: This is possibly a placeholder for the next logo.

2nd Logo (February 8, 2019-)

Logo: On a dark blue gradient background, we zoom out from several rectangular-shaped objects before we zoom out from the BET logo. A lens flare appears as "FILMS" blurs in.

Variant: A later version exists in which the rectangles don't have a gradient. This appeared on Body Cam, released on May 19, 2020.

Technique: The zooming out of the rectangles and the lens flare.

Music/Sounds: None or the opening theme of the film.

Availability: Common. Seen on every film from the company starting with the new, all-black version of What Men Want.
