Background

Breakwater Studios is an American film production company that produces short-form and long-form documentaries. The company was founded in 2012 by Ben Proudfoot in Walt Disney's original office building, located in Los Feliz, California. Later, they produced short documentaries for The New York Times' Op-Docs series, which includes The Best Chef in the World and MINK!.

Logo (November 6, 2013-)

Visuals: A dark teal-tinted shot of the bottom of the ocean fades in while thin white borders slide in from all sides of the screen, forming the outer border of the background. In the center, "BREAKWATER STUDIOS LTD", in a stacked format and with the former in a serif font, appears through a cloudy fade-in effect.

Variant: On The Turnaround, the borders are omitted.

Technique: 2D computer animation.

Audio: Ocean ambiance and soft waves crashing.

Availability: The logo is seen on The Ox, Kunstglaser, and The Turnaround.
