Background

Carolina Films was an Indian Malayalam/Tamil-language film company founded by film director Henry, who also heads Pangaj Productions. The company has only produced 2 films.

Logo (April 30, 1982-September 15, 1995)

Visuals: The logo starts off with a stock space background, which constantly changes its color. Fading in is a figure of Virgin Mary with her palms facing downwards slowly. Once the fading is complete, two gold-colored beams appear from her palms and travel towards the bottom of the screen, and eases inwards and outwards. The trails dissipate, causing the text "CAROLINA FILMS PVT. LTD." to fade in at the bottom side.

Trivia: The Virgin Mary, which is also known by various titles, styles and honorifics, was a 1st-century Galilean Jewish woman of Nazareth and the mother of Jesus, according to the New Testament and the Quran.

Variant: For a variation used in Kolangal, the text, now in white, reads "CAROLINA FILMS", and the entire logo freezes once the text appears.

Technique: A mix of live action, Scanimate, and traditional animation.

Audio: First, a tune that sounds much like the song from St. Pio de Pietrelcina's last moment, followed by numerous synth bells when the beams appear. This segues into a traditional Indian ranchero-like melody.

Audio Variant: Kolangal has the audio lower-pitched.

Availability: The logo is exclusively available for Yavanika and Kolangal.
