Background

Dualist is a film production and financing company in Salt Lake City.

1st Logo (September 20, 2019)

Visuals: On a tan-teal diagonal gradient background, a black-bordered eye opens with a trailing red and teal path. It spins clockwise and duplicates into two stacked eyes connected by a vertical bar on both ends. The eyes blink and their pupils rapidly change colors to red or teal., followed by each stroke disappearing. At this point, the background slowly shrinks to a slightly smaller version of itself by the end. After the eyes disappear, "DUALIST", in black and a spaced-out format, turns in simultaneously and is then joined by teal-light salmon horizontal gradient bars, drawing in the remaining portion of the thickly bordered company name to become black afterward.

Technique: Flash animation.

Audio: An eerie set of shrill, echoed, and muffled ambiance sound effects.

Availability: The logo is seen on A Name Without a Place.

2nd Logo (June 25-November 16, 2021)

Visuals: The same logo sequence from before is shown, consisting of an eye opening, duplicating into two before cutting away to show the forming text flipping and tracing in. The differences include the background being a shade of black, the animation being slower and at a low framerate, an application of a subtle gate weave effect, and a brief delay between the formation of the first and second sets of the text.

Technique: Flash animation.

Audio: None.

Availability: The logo is seen on Sanzaru and My Heart Can't Beat Unless You Tell It To.
