Background

Film Andes was an Argentine Mendoza-based film production company founded by a group of businessmen in September 23, 1944. The people had the idea of generating a film industry venture in the province and met the old premises of the Unión Comercial e Industrial de Mendoza. The company produced films within the province such as Corazón, (the company's second film), Lejos del cielo (the first film shot entirely in Mendoza), and Surcos en el Mar (the last film to be fully produced by the company).
