Background

Film City Production Ltd. was a film company from Hong Kong.

Logo (October 12, 1989-October 11, 1990)

Visuals: A glowing blue outlined square is seen zooming out over a black background and stops glowing after that. This is followed by a green outlined rectangle, and a red outlined rectangle. They zoom in, as the "F" flips in on the center of the screen, flashes and shines. The letters of the Chinese company name, "電影城製作有限公司", appear one-by-one below. The English company name "FILM CITY PRODUCTION LTD" then fade in below them.

Technique: Traditional cel-animation.

Audio: The first five seconds of "Expectation" by Paddy Kingsland, which segues into a shorter version of "Prestige Logo (B)" by Paddy Kingsland, with a rising synth arpeggio segueing into the synth brass C-major chord with bell tinkles, similar to the last part of the Y. C. Lai Film Production Company Ltd. fanfare, albeit 2 semitones lower.

Availability: The logo can be seen on Armageddon (1989) and Triad Story.
