Background

Intercontinental Film Promoter was a film company from Hong Kong.

1st Logo (October 30, 1980)

Visuals: On a black background, four yellow and red bars slide in from below and the right, with the red bars cutting to yellow afterwards and forming blocky letters "IF". A red dot appears underneath them, and the logo fades out. White text "INTERCONTINENTAL FILM PROMOTER" types in, and its Cantonese translation appears above.

Technique: Traditional animation.

Audio: "Opening Fanfare" by Eddy Warner.

Availability: Seen on 零點三八 (Calibre 0.38).

2nd Logo (September 15, 1984)

Visuals: On a black background, white text "INTERCONTINENTAL FILM PROMOTORS" types in with its Cantonese translation above. A blue hexagon-shaped rectangle with its center omitted zooms out, and the text slides down. A red laser beam shoots towards its center, filling it with red.

Technique: Motion-controlled animation.

Audio: Some beeping sounds are heard, followed by an ascending synth organ and a synth piano accompanied by a laser zap. This is followed by a spooky-sounding synth tune.

Availability: Seen on 青蓮青年 (Teenage Trap).
