Background

Lollipop Video was the children's home video branch of Thames Video.

Logo (1980's-1990's)


Visuals: On a black background, there is a red rectangle with a white border. Inside the rectangle, we see the text "Lollipop" and next to it are three lollipops (one blue, one yellow and one green). The screen flips, changing the colours of the rectangle and lollipops. The screen flips again, showing the normal logo.

Technique: Computer animation.

Audio: A somber synth tune.

Availability: Seen on some children's VHS releases from the 1980s such as the 1989 UK VHS releases of Scooby-Doo Meets the Boo Brothers (1987), The Good, The Bad and Huckleberry Hound (1988), and The Wind In The Willows: Mole's Cousin and Other Stories, among others.
