Background

When the 9.5mm film format was introduced in the United Kingdom, Pathéx was rebranded as Pathéscope.

1st Logo (October 16, 1911-May 22, 1916)

Visuals: On a black background, there are the drawing lines that draw a box. Inside a box, there is the cursive text "Pathéscope". Below it is the rectangular circle with "APPROVED SLOW-RUNNING FILM" inside. Below that is a rooster (which was also used for the K.O.K. Pathé logo) with "INSPECTED" and "BY THE" on either side. Below the logo is the text "UNDERWRITERS' LABORATORIES, INC." in a sans-serif font.

Technique: A still, printed graphic.

Audio: None.

Availability: Seen on the US version of The Colleen Bawn and Beauty Spots in America Castle Hot Springs, Arizona.

2nd Logo (May 19, 1921-October 15, 1925)

Visuals: On a black background, there is a white triangle with a film reel overlaps the triangle, with the 3 words "SAFETY FILM" on the left, right and top, albeit is in the outlined top. Then there are the words:

PATHESCOPE Presents

in a script font, which then overlaps the emblem.

Closing Variant: On the closing variant, the text "A PATHESCOPE FILM" is appeared on the emblem.

Technique: A still, printed graphic.

Audio: Silent, or the opening or closing theme of the film.

Availability: Seen on many Pathéscope films in the UK, such as The Alarum Clock and The ABC of Aviation, which can be seen on YouTube.
