Background

Raaj Films International was a film production company from India.

1st Logo (October 28, 1989-October 25, 1992)

Visuals: Against a dark blue wall, there is a model statue of a woman majestically holding a shiny ball in her right hand standing on top of a warped "RFI". Below all of that is a black pedestal with a gold top and bottom containing "RAAJ FILMS INTERNATIONAL" Throughout the entire logo, it stays static.

Variant: On Bramma, the model takes place against a blue curtain backdrop and is on top of a bunch of white petals sitting on top of the pedestal. The pedestal is also surrounded by numerous red flowers.

Technique: Live-action.

Audio: Starting with a cymbal crash with an ascending synthesized xylophone segment, and a slow brass fanfare accompanied by what sounds like twinkling. The theme ends with a harsh drum section.

Availability: The standard variant was seen in Vaathiyaar Veettu Pillai and Thirumathi Palanisamy, while the curtain variant was exclusively seen in Bramma.

2nd Logo (June 23, 1995-April 18, 1997)

Visuals: The logo starts with a moving rocky platform against a sky background with a black film strip traveling along. During this, Three metallic pillars descend from the top and sit on top of the film strip, compressing to form "RFI" in Times New Roman. The platform finally moves out of the way which reveals a wavy vertical red-white-red flag (similar to the national flag of Peru). The film strip stops moving for a bit for the camera to adjust until the film strip is fully visible, and once that is complete, the film strip quickly plasters itself to the flag, which causes the flag to start waving in the air. Finally, a set of black boxes slowly rises from the bottom, followed by a white spark coming in from the left side, flipping the boxes to reveal the company name in a sans typeface.

Technique: CGI.

Audio: A synthesized soundtrack consisting of whooshes and zaps throughout while accompanied by a heroic drum beat and string piece when the "RFI" film strip is formed.

Audio Trivia: The drum and string soundtrack is originally the opening theme of the film Villadhi Villain.

Availability: Seen on Villadhi Villain, Tamizh Selvan, and Vallal.
