Background

Wicked Pixel Cinema is a production company formed in 1995 by Eric Stanze to produce feature-length independent movies. The owner, is a critically-acclaimed and award-winning producer, director, writer and editor.



1st Logo (August 18, 1999)

Visuals: Against a blue environment, a miniature Grin Reaper wind-up toy that's holding it's reaping hook, without the key, is seen slowly walking with a light shining in front of it. As the toy walks off from the right, the text "WICKED PIXEL CINEMA" spaced out and separated by rows, fade in.

Technique: Live-action and fading effects.

Audio: The mechanical sounds of the wind-up toy.

2nd Logo (July 4, 2011)

Visuals: Fading from a black-to-white background to a white environment scenery, the wind-up toy from before, with flowing smoke are shown. It then crossfades to different shots that involve the wind-up toy. At the last shot, the wind-up toy stops, leading to a fading white-to-black background, that shows the print logo - a black-white opal with a grayscale illustration of the wind-up toy, with "WICKED PIXEL CINEMA" next to it.

Technique: Live-action and fading effects.

Audio: A held out synth pad note/droning synth combo, with another deep synth note at the end.

3rd Logo (June 26, 2018)

Visuals: From a yellow/blue environment scenery, the wind-up toy from before, from an upwards angle, is shown, enlightened with yellow lights and smoke flowing. As before, it crossfades to different shows that involve the wind-up toy. At the last shot where the wind-up toy gets closer to the screen, it fades out as it leads to the print logo fading in.

Technique: Live-action and fading effects.

Audio: Silence, followed by a quiet, eerie droning synth that ascends at the end, which is part of the movie's opening.
