Background
Background
Blue Ribbon Content is the digital series production unit of Warner Bros. Television that produces and distributes live-action and animated programming for online platforms. It was originally created in 2005 as "Warner Bros. Digital Distribution" and developed mobile games based on Warner Bros. properties until 2013. In 2008, Warner Bros. Studio 2.0 was set up as the company's online division, producing programmes for TheWB.com; it was moved to Warner Premiere the next year. The BRC brand itself was launched in 2014 as a separate entity, though it serves as a spiritual successor to both companies.

Logo: On a white, black or a cloudy background, we see the usual Warner Bros. shield with the banner reading "".

Variants:
*On games released in 2009, "TM & © Warner Bros. Entertainment Inc. (s09)" appears below the logo.
*On the Watchmen mobile game, the logo is made out of stone with its inside colored gold, being partially covered by shadows.

Technique: None.

Music/Sounds: None.

Availability: Appears on mobile games based on Warner Bros. and DC Comics properties, mostly by Glu Mobile.

Logo: On a black background, thin light streaks create an electric blue WB shield with "Serif" in black, which wipes on the banner from the left, as the background changes to a darkblue grid pattern. The finished product shines once.

Variants:
*A sped-up version is shown on Mortal Kombat Legacy II. A still version was also found.
*On H+: The Digital Series, the logo is shown with blue bar code-like lines on the left and right on a cloudy background. After a second, shines occur on the "DIGITAL DISTRIBUTION", causing the banner to zoom in and dissolve. The WB letters open like a door, revealing the series' logo.

Technique: CGI animation.

Music/Sounds: A series of electronic swooshes.

Availability: Appears on certain titles on iOS and Android, such as Tapper World Tour and Midway Arcade. Also shown on the Machinima series Mortal Kombat Legacy II and the beginning of H+: The Digital Series.

Logo: On a black background, a blue "S" is drawn in, with a glow forming around it. The "S" splits apart and the copy rotates as both take different sides of the screen. White bars form and rotate into additional letters, altogether spelling out "blue". "blue" appears above, with the latter two words fit between the gaps of the "t" and the "2", the space filled by the "d".

Variants:
*On early episodes of Alt-Reality and all except one episode of Robin Banks and the Bank Roberts, "IN ASSOCIATION WITH" is removed.
*On the first episode of Robin Banks and the Bank Roberts, the print logo is on a white background and it is still.
*On the Children's Hospital episode "The Show You Watch", fitting the old-time theme of the episode, we see the company name (entitled "Warner Two Point O") written in cursive with a slight shadow effect, against a TV static background.

Technique: CGI animation.

Music/Sounds: None or the closing theme of the show.

Availability: Appeared on various original programs released on TheWB.com, such as Chadam and Children's Hospital, the latter of which proved popular enough to get a second life on Adult Swim and allow this logo to essentially outlive its intended use (albeit as a legacy credit). Aside from TheWB and Children's Hospital, it appeared on Simian Undercover Detective Squad and early episodes of Alt-Reality on Film.com (later episodes just use the Henson Alternative logo) and Robin Banks and the Bank Roberts on Maker Studios' Nacho Punch YouTube channel.

Background

Blue Ribbon Content is the digital series production unit of Warner Bros. Television that produces and distributes live-action and animated programming for online platforms. It was launched in 2014 as a separate entity, though it serves as a spiritual successor to Warner Bros. Digital Distribution and Warner Bros. Studio 2.0.

1st Logo (September 16, 2014-July 18, 2018)

Visuals: On an orange background is a blue colored ribbon. "BLUE RIBBON Content" and the TimeWarner byline is in it. A number date appears in the bottom right corner as well. The logo zooms in a bit.

Trivia: The name and logo are a reference to the "Blue Ribbon" re-releases of older Looney Tunes and Merrie Melodies cartoons during the 1940s and 1950s.

Color Variants: This logo varies in colors depending on the show.

 • Play It Again, Dick: Orange background and blue ribbon.

Also seen on Ginger Snaps on ABC.com and the ABC app.

2nd Logo (July 17, 2017-2019)

Visuals: On a concrete background, the same logo from before can be seen, but it appears to be a piece of paper. It constantly flashes between different color combinations, with subtle changes in lighting, camera positioning, and also the paper being damaged and repaired in a few shots.

Variants:

 • On Daphne & Velma, the logo is zoomed in.
 • On Constantine: City of Demons, the logo is in its print form on a parchment background.

Technique: Stop-motion animation.

Audio: None, or the opening/ending theme of the show or film.

Availability: First seen on Play With Caution on Disney XD's short-lived D|XP block. Also seen on the second season of Now We're Talking, Daphne & Velma, Constantine: City of Demons, Good Girls Get High and Best Shot.

3rd Logo (March 21, 2019-)

Visuals: There are the words "BLUE RIBBON Content" against multiple claymation scenes including:

 • What appears to be a spaghetti monster with the logo forming in the middle.
 • A series of triangular mountains/pyramids, one with the all-seeing eye on it and the logo in the middle.

 • A wave of color lines that form the ribbon logo, which is colored blue and gold and has a (barely visible) WarnerMedia byline on it in white.

Variants:

 • A more common slightly shorter variant exists, which lacks the final scene.
 • A short variant uses just a few of the scenes. What scenes appear depends on the show: on Critters: A New Binge, it goes like spaghetti monster, volcano, monster, and Earth.
 • On Deathstroke: Knights & Dragons, only the mountains/pyramids scene is shown.

Technique: Claymation done by Chris McDonnell at McD Workshop, with additional work by Peter Girardi from Blue Ribbon Content.

Audio: A funky drum-driven piece (composed by McDonnell himself) with a blender at the end, or the opening/closing theme of the show or film.
