Background

CNN Films is the motion picture division of CNN, launched in 2012.

Logo (July 19, 2013-)

Visuals: On a flashing particle background with film reel squares moving, there is a red rectangle that's slowly turning. The CNN logo slowly fades in on the rectangle. As a flare appears, the logo shines. The camera quickly zooms out to reveal "FILMS" is placed on the right of the logo. The CNN logo moves like a film projector, and then stops. The logo shakes for a while.

Technique: CGI.

Audio: Whirring noises, along with other sound effects. Otherwise, the opening theme of the movie or none.

Availability: Debuted on Blackfish, and has appeared on every film ever since.
