Visuals: On a night background, the camera pans up to reveal the skyline of a red and purple-tinted city with some searchlights scanning the sky. The camera them zooms towards the skyline until it's close enough, at which point it pans up to the sky, with the searchlights briefly remaining visible. The screen then fades to a blue-black background as a flash forms a blue "8". The text " L.R.I. 486 TV CANAL 8 Mar del Plata" flies in and briefly stops under the "8" before flying away, while the names of the network's substations ("CANAL 13 Tandil", "CANAL 45 Olavarria", "CANAL 13 Bolivar", "CANAL 6 De la Costa" and "CANAL 9 Benito Juarez") appear around it.

Variant: The ID was tweaked in the late 1980s: the text "L.R.I. 486 TV CANAL 8 Mar del Plata" is now white and not in italics, the station names are in all-caps, and the station name "CANAL 12 GRAL. GUIDO" is added. This was first used when the station for General Guido was launched.
