Background

Vermont PBS (formerly Vermont ETV and Vermont Public Television) is a statewide PBS affiliate serving the state of Vermont.

1st ID (1980s-1997)

Visuals: On a black background, red, apricot, and green leaves blow in from the left side. Then a stacked "Vermont ETV" appears, which is made out of glass and colored steel blue. This shines three times. The first time it shines, two red leaves and an apricot one settle at the bottom of the glass structure.

Variant: A short variant cuts the last shine.

Technique: A mix of cel-animation and CGI.

Audio: A relaxing guitar tune with a flourish at the end.

Availability: Seen at the beginning of Making The Civil War.

2nd ID (1998)

Visuals: On a black background, there is a purple rounded rectangle with green layers of abstract hills and a white circle in the upper-left corner representing the sun. Next to it are the white stacked words "Vermont Public Television" and a PBS logo below. A white outlined "Presents" wipes in below.

Technique: Wiping effects.

Audio: A mellow piano glissando.

3rd ID (2002-2010)

Visuals: On a black background is the same logo from before, but without the circle. The circle then rises up, revealing the purple stacked words "VERMONT PUBLIC TELEVISION" with a PBS logo below.

Variant: Later, the newer version of the PBS logo can be seen animating.

Technique: CGI.

Audio: A synth beep with 3 dings at the end.

Audio Variant: Same as before.
