1st Logo (1980-1990)

Logo: On a teal gradient background, two cards that feature a sun-like object and the letters "E" and "O" slide in. After that, they open up into a box, then some blue and green stripes move into the box, then come to the top of it. We see that the box made of the cards are gone, and the stripes come together and become the EO symbol (the blue stripes becoming a circle and the green ones becoming an abstract "E" that looks like a reversed "3"). Before that's done, the background turns black and a light rises in the center.

Technique: 2D animation.

Music/Sounds: An orchestral fanfare that becomes more powerful.

Availability: Extinct.
