Background
Sega AM Research & Development No. 2, formerly known as SEGA-AM2 Co., Ltd., is a video game development team operating with Sega since 1985, led by producer Yu Suzuki (of OutRun and Super Hang-On fame) during its golden period. Their most famous works include the Virtua 3D brand of games, starting with Virtua Racing and later branching out to Virtua Fighter, the latter of which spawned several sequels. Other productions by AM2 include the Daytona USA series and Shenmue. Shenmue marked history for both the development team and Sega due to production getting way over the budget, causing it to become one of the most expensive video games to be made. Because of the financial troubles caused by that game's development, the company has been much less active over time. Their most recent arcade titles before Sega's retirement in the arcade business include Border Break and the arcade versions of Hatsune Miku: Project Diva.

Visuals: On a white background, there is a palm tree on an island with the words "Sega AM2", colored orange with a blue triangle over it. Underneath it is "AM R&D Dept.#2" colored red.
Variants:
- On Soreike Kokology 2, the text at the bottom is black, and the coconut is pink.
- On some games, there is a shadow behind the logo.
- Multiple arcade games feature the logo placed at the top or bottom right of the screen on the title screen or during the attract mode.
- Starting in 2000, the words underneath the logo would change into "SEGA-AM2 co, LTD".
- Most games would either have "presented by" or "created by" on top.
- On Shenmue for the Dreamcast, the text "Presented by AMZ of CRI" is present under the logo.
Technique: None, or fading effects.
Audio: None, or an announcer saying "Sega AM2".
Audio Variant: On The King of Route 66, the game's announcer says "Created by AM2!"
Availability: Seen on games produced by the company. Notable examples include Daytona USA, Shenmue, and Virtua Fighter.
