Background

Sherston Software (also known as Sherston Publishing Group), was a British software publisher, producing educational games and learning resources. Two teachers, Bill and Lou Bonham, started making games for the BBC Micro in 1983 and set up a limited company in 1991. In 2003, Bill and Lou sold Sherston to a four-man management team, which led to the company being called Sherston Publishing Group. Sherston Software didn't used a proper logo until 1996.



1st Logo (1993)

Visuals: There is the Sherston logo in gold with a diagonal oval behind it. Next to it are the Chatsworth Television and Digital Jellyfish Design logos.

Technique: A still, sprite-based graphic.

Audio: The opening theme of the game.

Availability: Seen only on the video game adaptation of The Crystal Maze.

2nd Logo (1996-1998?)

Visuals: Unknown.

Technique: Flash animation.

Audio: Unknown.

3rd Logo (1999-2002)

Visuals: Unknown.

4th Logo (2001-2003)

5th Logo (2004-2007)

Visuals: A navy blue rectangle with the text "Sherston" with four circles in yellow, red, green and blue next to it fading onto a white background, then fading out later.
