Mega Cat Studios

Background

Mega Cat Studios is a game development studio founded in 2015 that is based in Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania. The company focuses on developing independent titles for the NES and Super NES but has also been involved with developing or porting games to newer platforms as well, including remasters of Humongous Entertainment's Backyard Sports franchise.

Logo (2023-)

Visuals: On a gray background, a circle containing a drawing of a cat with a game controller for eyes and a cartridge for a collar; pops up. The cat meows and the circle moves to the left to allow the orange text "MEGA CAT STUDIOS" to appear from a fading transition effect from the top.

Variant: On the Backyard Sports remasters, only the print logo appears without any company name.

Technique: Simple animation effects.

Audio: A woosh, followed by a warped "Meow!" and bell ringing sounds.

Audio Variant: On the Backyard Sports remasters, the Humongous Entertainment logo theme plays.
