Background
RedOctane, Inc. was an American electronic entertainment company best known for producing the Guitar Hero series, beginning in November 2005. The company became a wholly owned subsidiary of Activision in 2006. In February 2010, the studio closed the division.
Logo (November 7, 2005-September 28, 2010)
Visuals: There is an audio visualizer, which keeps on playing music and moving up and down until the company's logo forms, with pixelated fire above and the word "redoctane" in a custom font.
Technique: 2D animation.
Audio: Some tuning noise, then we hear a held-out electric guitar note.
Availability: Seen on the Guitar Hero game series.
