Visuals: On a starfield is a blue spark of light shining A yellow circle grows and rotates, emitting light. Then it takes the center and red "RENE CHATEAU" moves from the circle, leaving a trail. Suddenly the picture changes back to the rotating circle with "DISTRIBUTION" above and the name below. The black panther jumps on it, balances and visibly roars, as the circle almost lies down and continues to sway. Then the panther walks by the circle and freezes mid-frame in the center. The words flip out and slip to the edge of the circle, sliding to take their places and reading "EDITIONS RENE CHATEAU DISTRIBUTION (star picture)". "PRESENTE" also appears to the right.

Variants:

  • In early years, the logo was also black and white.
  • In later years, it was redone in much better quality. Also, "CERITO" now replaces "EDITIONS".

Technique: Backlit cel animation.

Audio: Part of the intro of Sunrise from "Also sprach Zarathustra, Op. 30" (which is also adapted as the opening theme to 2001: A Space Odyssey), by the composer Richard Strauss.

Availability: Appeared on French film releases. The old black and white version was saved on early French DVDs, and the remastered animation appeared on newer films, particularly released in the 2000s, after the TF1 Vidéo logo.
