Background

Seven mm. Film Production Co. (七米厘電影製作公司) was a film production company in Hong Kong.

Logo (April 15, 1989-1991)

Visuals: There is a typical countdown timer (like a film leader), with a line in the circle (which the number is situated in) to represent each second passing by. It eventually stops at seven. There is a white flash. The seven changes to a serif font, where four white lasers on each corner of the screen form a globe-like object that the seven can fit inside. The seven pops out at us, and the globe becomes a flat white grid. A blue square forms behind the grid, where the word "Seven" in a pink script font zooms out onto the grid with a trail. Four white squares appear on each half of the blue square, and the Chinese text "七 米 厘 電 影 製 作 公 司" zooms out with a white trail. "SEVEN mm. FILM PRODUCTION CO." appears below this, with a similar trail.

Technique: Cel animation with backlit elements.

Audio: The 2-pop sound during the countdown, followed by a laser zap and a short version of "Prestige Logo (B)" by Paddy Kingsland.

Availability: Can be seen on The First Time Is the Last Time.
